So how do you do those cards then?

I thought you might be interested in how I create my cards. By scribbling mainly. It all starts with a rough mess, that I gradually refine to the finished item. I produce the finished colour artwork entirely digitally these days using a couple of programmes known as Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. But the start of it all is still a pencil scribble on a piece of paper. Here are the pencil scribbles for the “Archives” card...

The first stab at it....really rough. It’s done on a thin tracing paper known as “Typo detail paper” It’s like tracing paper, but nicer to work on.
This was no more than a doodle really, to get a rough idea of positions of characters.
